[TO BISHOP WHATCOAT]2
My very dear Soul:
Make haste that we may insure a meeting in glory. I find that your plans will put it entirely out of your power of coming to Charleston. I would have said the Camden Conference. I hope you will come strait and steady down to Dromgooles,3 come by Alexandria, Dumfries, Fredericksburg, Richmond, and Petersburg. I have sent you the minutes inclosed. We grow upon the Western Shore,4 some good times in Baltimore, circuit and city, great times in Calvert.5 Brother Toy does well, and does wonders. Frederick, it is a growing season in some places. I have formed a plan to go to the North Western Territory next fall and you can stay in Maryland and go down the strait way to Camden in the South. I pray for thee that thy strength may not fail.
